About us

International Wilderness Guide is a 10-month education program to become a professional in the field of nature tourism. The training is organized by the Tampere-based vocational college Tredu. It exists since 1997 and the number of graduates working as entrepreneurs and employed guides clearly underlines the need of such a program in Finland. In 2021 the official language of the program was changed from English to Finnish due to changes in the rules of vocational education. We are committed to offering the program again in English in the future if rules allow.

Learn more about the program by reading about our 30+ years of history.

Information regarding admission and contacts can be found on the website of Tredu: https://www.tredu.fi/koulutus/era-ja-luonto-opas/ Further information about the official qualification can be found here.
